The program runs for 3-4 months, following a traditional college semester schedule: Spring, Summer, and Fall.
No prior experience is required! However, a strong network and proven track record are key for label's hiring A&Rs. We recommend potential students start managing an artist independently to build experience before or during the program.
We require students to be in-office to fully immerse in company culture and gain real-world experience from our executives. Face-to-face learning is essential for success in the music industry. Our offices are located in Nashville and Los Angeles.
If a student successfully develops and signs an artist to the label, they will have the opportunity to continue scouting talent for The Upstate Sound and earn a percentage of the masters from the artists they bring in.
